Groove Music Player Learns While You Listen, Builds Custom Mixes, Helps You Rediscover Music You Own

Groove Music Player Learns While You Listen, Builds Custom Mixes, Helps You Rediscover Music You Own Windows 8: If you're looking for a great music player for your Windows 8 system (or Windows RT tablet), Groove Music Player will set you back a few bucks, but it's worth it. Groove watches your listening habits as you use it, automatically tags and organizes your music for you, can create mixes you'll enjoy based on the tracks you listen to, and even help you reconnect with songs buried in your music library you may have forgotten you loved.

We last mentioned Groove when it launched for iOS, and the features that made the iOS version so great are also available in Windows 8. Groove downloads missing artwork, photos, and bios for you automatically (all from Last.fm), tags your tracks for you, and a few clicks creates an instant mix of songs you'll actually enjoy?not just based on the songs' similarity to each other, but also on how frequently you listen to them. When Groove makes those mixes, it searches your entire library too, and will?if you want it to?toss in a few tracks that you may have forgotten about but would enjoy. It's also a fully-featured Windows 8 app, so you can use it full-screen, minimize it, or snap it to the side for a mini player that's open while you use other apps.

Groove is available now in the Windows Store for $4. If you're not sure if it's right for you, the Windows Store lets you download and try apps for free before committing to buy them, so give it a whirl before you decide to buy it. It's available now.

Great Tips On Getting The Right Amount Of Bandwidth From A ...

For smaller sites, use text based ads over image based ads. Flashy ads with images and videos are effective but can end up requiring more bandwidth than you can afford. If you have a modest site with limited income potential, bandwidth heavy ads can cost more than the income they generate. Consider effective text ads that look professional while not hogging bandwidth.

Choose a web host with a CPanel. This feature allows you to install many different plug ins in a few clicks. For instance, most blogging platforms are hard to install without the CPanel feature. This kind of feature will help you improve your site without acquiring any kind of technical skills.

Understand the difference between dedicated and shared hosting when it comes to choosing a web host for your new website. Basically, dedicated hosting is when you have your own server and the bandwidth is not shared with other users. This is appropriate for very large companies who have the time and resources to invest in this. Shared hosting is the economical and easy choice for a small or medium sized business. Let someone else do the hard stuff and concentrate on your actual business goals.

Make certain to read reviews to determine whether your potential web host has frequent periods of downtime. If your website is often inaccessible to visitors, there can be drastically negative consequences. For example, if you are running an online business, downtime directly translates into lost business because potential customers will not be able to access your website. Customers may also feel uncomfortable conducting transactions on your website because they might believe your website to be unreliable. Choose a web host that does not have a history of being offline frequently.

A good site host should also offer good support for if and when you need help with something. This means that maybe they offer professionals that can offer advice to new site owners, or support simply for errors and general questions about how to make your site look its best using the tools the host offers. Some sites are more ?hands on? with lots of templates and things to help their users, whereas others are more of a ?do your own thing? type hosting site. Make sure you keep in mind whether you are a novice or a professional at designing and owning a website.

When choosing a web hosting package, you need to make sure you get the right amount of disk space. When calculating the amount of disk space needed, you need to think of things like HTML files, graphics, scripts, and multi-media content. If you site uses up too much disk space, you will either be charged more money or the host can shut your site down.

Use search engines to help you decide. By checking out results on Yahoo or Google, you will be able to get an idea of how many hosting sites exist out there. Sometimes just based on the number of results a host gets or the higher the hosting site is ranked in the results is a good sign of its quality.

If you are working with a limited budget, consider using a shared web hosting service. This option is especially appealing for personal websites or any site that will not be used to store sensitive information. If you take this route, you can expect to pay well under $20 per month?much less than you would pay for service from a dedicated server.

When choosing a web hosting service, refrain from going with the recommendation of friends or family who are not professionals. Though they may have had a good experience themselves with a certain provider, realize that their needs may be very simple compared to yours. Read reviews and advice from those who have needs similar to your own.

Avoid choosing the cheapest web-hosting service out there, and certainly think long and hard before you go with a free one. If you are running a business online, your reputation can be severely damaged if you choose an unreliable hosting service. In addition, the free ones will often have advertisements that make it obvious you are not willing to pay for a basic service that is important to your livelihood.

Know the speed and reliability of the internet connection that the web host uses. The web host you choose should have at least a T3 line as their connection to the internet. Some of the premium hosts also provide redundant connections, ensuring that even if one of their internet connections experiences an outage, service is not interrupted but be prepared to pay more for this type of speed and reliability.

Surprised how easy it is to cut costs? Increase your business profitability in one easy step by switching to a web hosting service that saves you money every month. Finding a great web hosting provider is easier than ever, and as people become more savvy, hosting providers are forced to offer better and better service. Switch to a better provider today and make a real difference in your bottom line.

Jack, Jackie Harbaugh Will Visit Losing Coach First After Super Bowl XLVII

NEW ORLEANS (AP) ? Jack and Jackie Harbaugh are spending Super Bowl week celebrating the good fortune of having two sons at the pinnacle of pro football.

Once the Super Bowl between John Harbaugh's Baltimore Ravens and Jim Harbaugh's San Francisco 49ers has ended this Sunday night, the parents know their first priority will be expressing sympathy to the coach who didn't get to hoist the Lombardi Trophy.

"The one thing that I do think about is after the game. There is going to be one winner and there is going to be one that is going to be totally disappointed. My thoughts go to that one that will not experience the thrill of victory," Jack Harbaugh said. "That's where our thoughts will be."

Harbaugh explained that he and Jackie had a "dry run" on how to handle the postgame last season when the Niners lost at Baltimore on Thanksgiving night.

After leaving an office in the stadium where they watched the game ? in private and emotionless ? the first locker room they walked past was that of the Ravens.

"We've all experienced that excitement of victory-guys jumping up and down, the smile on John's face. They were just ecstatic. ... Then you realize that you're not needed here," Jack said. "You walk across the hall, and you went into the 49ers locker room and you walked and you saw the players walking about ? that look in their eyes, that look of not being successful and coming up short. We opened up a couple doors and finally saw Jim all by himself in this room, just a table and a chair. He was still in his coaching outfit. His head down in his hands and you looked into his eyes and you realized that this where you're needed as a parent.

"Every single parent can identify with that," he continued. "On Sunday night, we're going to experience both of those great emotions. Our thoughts will be with the one that comes up a little short."

Now comes the second act in New Orleans, which happens to be the home of another set of parents who can relate to watching NFL games involving two of their sons on opposing teams: the Mannings.

As it turns out, Jack Harbaugh said, Archie Manning called before the Niners-Ravens Thursday night tilt last season to offer some advice.

"The advice was this, 'This will be over on Friday. I promise you it will be over on Friday,'" Harbaugh recalled. "Sure enough it was great advice and that's exactly how it happened."

The elder Harbaugh was a longtime coach himself, and a former assistant of Bo Schembechler at Michigan, where Jim quarterback before a playing career in the NFL, followed by a college coaching career and then his NFL head coaching debut just last season in San Francisco.

Jack credited Jackie for taking their sons to Michigan practices when they were young so they could learn about what their father did during long days at work. And he was thrilled that they wanted to play and later coach football.

Now that has put them in the spotlight in the Big Easy, where the Harbaugh parents were fittingly at ease as they sat ? talk show style ? in lounge chairs in front of a large crowd of international media.

Jack opened the news conference by loudly asking, rhetorically, "Who has it better than us?"

Then he and Jackie both exclaimed, "Nobody!"

It appeared well rehearsed because it has long been a family motto.

But when it comes to navigating the rest of Super Bowl week, they acknowledged they were neophytes, and didn't have much of a plan beyond spending time with relatives and friends. They didn't even know where they were sitting for the game. They added that both sons have simply urged them to make sure they enjoy the experience.

When asked if the knowledge that one son will lose will diminish their enjoyment of the game, Jackie Harbaugh said, "I don't think so because we will see both of them after the game. We're going to hug both of them and tell them how proud we are of them."

Study Says Romance Can Last In Long-Term Relationships | World ...

Does Romance Have to Die in Your Long-Term Relationship? This guest article from YourTango was written by Teresa Maples.

Have you settled for companionship in your would-be romantic relationship? Companionship is when you exist in the same home but spend very little time together, and neither of you is particularly satisfied.

Take the stereotypical man-watching-football-while-his-wife-cleans-the-house scenario. She resents that he gets to relax while she slaves to keep the home clean. She complains about him watching football and not helping around the house. He becomes angry and they either argue or physically go to separate rooms to get away from each other. Does this sound familiar?

The good news is that romance doesn?t have to die in your long-term relationship. Find out how below.

As a licensed mental health counselor, I?ve heard countless renditions of the scenario above, where wives and husbands are convinced that companionship?is as good as it gets for married life. Out of desperation, they ask me for help, and here?s what I say.

Research shows that long-term couples who strive for ?love with all the trimmings? enjoy more satisfying relationships. It all starts with this first question: Do you want to be more satisfied in your long-term relationship? If your answer is ?no, ?then stop right here and do not read another word. Keep reading if you would like a more satisfying relationship; it takes awareness and intention to make it happen.

Here are three ways you can foster sparks in your long-term relationship:

1. Ask directly for your needs to be met.

Your partner cannot read your mind. Become aware of your emotional and behavioral patterns in the relationship. Those who pursue often have a fear of abandonment; those who avoid often have a fear of being consumed by another person. Those two types often hook up in relationships.

The pursuer?s greatest need is to feel emotionally connected with his/her partner. The avoider?s greatest need is to stay away from emotional connection. These are opposing needs.

Each person needs to address his/her own fears in the relationship. The pursuer needs to find a way to cope with his/her fear of abandonment and make emotional space for the avoider to take action. The avoider needs to face his/her fear of being overwhelmed emotionally and bridge the emotional gap between him/her and the pursuer. Finding a healthy balance is attainable.

2. Be respectful of yourself and your partner at all times.?

Take a time out if you feel angry or resentful. Journal about your resentments and try to find a solution before talking to your partner. Learn to articulate your feelings in a non-threatening way. Be ready for your partner to say your solution doesn?t work. Ask for his/her solution; he/she might have a great idea. Be a safe person for your partner. Your partner can be your best ally and friend.

3. Choose to bring novelty to your relationship.?

Bring home flowers, take each other on a date, go on an adventure together, spend time doing a project together, ski, hike, bike, craft, take photos of birds ? you get the idea.

It is vitally important to remember your goal of being satisfied in your relationship. Helping your partner feel emotionally safe with you is the key to your satisfaction in a long-term relationship. Bringing novelty will spark the flames of romance only if you both feel emotionally safe and connected.

The Correct Way to Clean Eyeglasses

The Correct Way to Clean EyeglassesWe've all done it. When our glasses are smudged up we reach for the corner of our shirt and clean them off. You probably even know that's the wrong way to clean glasses, but you do it anyway. But you don't need special sprays and microfiber cloth to clean glasses the right way, the Wall Street Journal says you only need kitchen soap and a normal cotton cloth.

The reason your shirt is terrible for cleaning glasses is because it's likely filled with dust, and that scratches the lenses. Otherwise, any old piece of cotton will do, and regular old kitchen soap is far better than those cleaning solutions you get at the optometrist:

The AOA recommends washing glasses every morning, paying special attention to the frames and earpieces, where hair product and makeup tend to rub off. Whatever you do, don't use the most handy form of water to clean your lenses. "Some people use spit, but don't," urges Dr. Geist. Though dirty glasses won't cause an eye infection, saliva "is not the best hygiene method, and it just won't work very well," she says. Soap, warm water and a dry cloth are all you need, once a day, to keep glasses optimally clean and functional.

You also shouldn't use anything with ammonia, bleach, vinegar (although it's great for drinking glasses), or window cleaner because those chemicals strip away the coatings on your glasses. Keeping your glasses in optimal shape is really easy when you do it right. That should be just enough to keep those fancy new computer glasses in optimal shape too.

UK: No charges for Australian royal hoax DJs

British prosecutors said Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, they will not press charges against two Australian DJs over the royal hoax call that preceded a nurse's suicide. Two Australian DJs impersonated Queen Elizabeth II and her son, Prince Charles, as they phoned London's King Edward VII hospital in December to ask about the condition of the Duchess of Cambridge, formerly Kate Middleton, who had been hospitalized for treatment of acute morning sickness stemming from her pregnancy. (AP) ? British prosecutors said Friday they will not press charges against two Australian DJs over the royal hoax call that preceded a nurse's suicide.

Nurse Jacintha Saldanha, who put the call through to a colleague who in turn described the details of Kate's condition, was found hanged in her room three days after the prank was broadcast across the world.

Prosecutors on Friday said there was no evidence to support a charge of manslaughter, and despite "some evidence" to warrant further investigation of offenses under Britain's Data Protection Act and Malicious Communications Act, any potential prosecution would not be in the public interest.

The Crown Prosecution Service said that decision was taken because it isn't possible to extradite from Australia for those potential offenses, and because "however misguided, the telephone call was intended as a harmless prank."

DJs Michael Christian and Mel Greig ?apologized after Saldanha's death in emotional interviews on Australian television, saying they never expected their call would be put through.

The radio show behind the call, the "Hot 30" program, was taken off air following Saldanha's death and later canceled.

UN says unable to verify Syria complaint about Israeli planes

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - U.N. peacekeepers in a demilitarized zone between Syria and Israel were unable to verify a Syrian complaint that Israeli planes had flown over the Golan Heights area, a spokesman for U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said on Thursday.

"UNDOF (the peacekeeping mission) did not observe any planes flying over the area of separation and therefore was not able to confirm the incident. UNDOF also reported bad weather conditions," U.N. spokesman Eduardo del Buey told reporters.
